Brother Vanstone spoke. on the. theme• "Leade• ship". Several other Grand Lodge Officers spoke briefly. Following the supper a draw was held for four Potted plants' - winners were: Mrs. Earl Tapp, Wingham; Mrs. Robt. Fraser, Brussels; Mrs. Anne Frances, Mitchell; Warden Haney, Seaforth. Following the banquet music for the dance was supplied by "The.Blenders". A wedding g for the special couple Correspondent MRS. MAC ENGEL 887-6645 Mrs, Clare Veitch was hostess for the June meeting of the W.M.S. with 14 ladies attending. The vice- president, Mrs. George Smith opened the meeting with a Father's. Day reading. Mrs. Mac Engel led in prayer. Scripture was read in unison with the meditation given by Mrs. Earl Dunn: The topic "The Essential Grace" was given by Mrs. Gordon Engel. Mrs. Jack Knight read the minutes and announced the June 'Conference being held at Camp Kintail. The new study on India and Nepal was discussed and left over to the next meeting. The treasurer's report was given by Mrs. Jim Hart and cards and visits were re- corded by Mrs. Stanley Fischer. A brief business meeting of the Ladies Aid was conducted by the president Mrs. Earl Dunn. The treasurer reported the garage sale was a success, proceeds exceeding the one held last year. It was voted to give a donation to the church treasurer to help with ex- penses. Mrs. Stuart Stevenson read the minutes and suggestions to help plan another sale were asked for. An appropriate reading "The Ladies Aid" was given by Mrs. Dunn. Roll call was a verse on "Father". "Blest be the tie that binds" was sung and the Mizpah Benediction was repeated in unison. The hostess was assisted with lunch by Mrs. Stuart Stevenson and Mrs. Geo. Smith. 4-H CLUB MEETS The first meeting of the Cra .nbrook 4-H Club was held at the ball park and Community Centre on May 26. The members took part in an obstacle course and other fitness activities. The election of officers concluded with Jodi Miller president of Cranbrook I and Pam Engel president of Club H. The leaders of this club are Yvonne Knight, Pat Engel, Shirley Snyder, and Tracy Engel. All members are looking forward to the events of this "Outdoor Living" project. NEW LOCATION The Cranbrook Library has been relocated at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Saxon, next door to the vacant store. Mrs, Saxon will act as librarian and will be open Wednesday evenings 7. to 9 p.m. PERSONALS Mary Ellen Knight graduated with her B.A. degree at Western University, London, on Tuesday. June 10. Her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ross Knight, and grandparents Mr.' and Mrs. Russel Knight, attended the graduation exercises. Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Knight had a celebration dinner after and Mrs. Allan Walker (Nancy Knight) and baby Jason were at. it. Visiting Mrs. Ida Gordon the past week were Mr. and. Mrs. Elmer Zimmer, Cleveland, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Zimmer, St.Marys, and Frank Hunter, Oshawa. Paul Bragg, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Bragg left on Friday for cornwallis,, N.S. where he will be training for a marine engineer mechanic.
