Centre on June 11.

On Tuesday, night, June
10, the most important order
of business for St. John's
Lodge was the annual instal-
lation ceremony of its officers
for the next year. Bro. Fred
Thuell is the new Master of
the Lodge, for 1980-81. The
group believes he is the
oldest mason to assume this
office. All congratulated him
on his skill and ability to
perform the duties of this
office at his age.
Visiting masons from
Wingham, Listowel, Blyth
-and Stratford were present to
witness this part of the
ceremony in particular. The
other officers who were
installed are: Sr. Warden -
Fred Uhler; Jr. Warden -
Leslie Knight; treas. - Gerald
Gibson; secretary - Edwin
Martin; Chaplin - Robt.
Grasby; Tyler - Murray
Hoover; Sr. Deacon - Ross
Duncan; Jr. Deacon - Wilfred

of Norman. Hoover assisted ,
by a number of past masters.

Barb had drealns of becoming a nurse and
after living with an undertaker for 25 years
and being involved in-the business for 11,

bereaveinent.
NEED. HELP
"People need help at that time. I feel I
can talk to anyone. At a time of death, I feel
Ilnow, what people's needs are. There's'a
fulfillment there, that I know what to do to
help people," Barb said.
She also said that it had been proven to
the funeral world over the last 15 years that
women can do just as good a job as the
men.

John's Ambulance course certificate Which
was one of the, required qualifications for
her course at Humber College. Typing 40
words per minute is another qualification
and she works at that a couple of hours a
day.
LOTS OF HELP
Many people in the Brussels community
were supportive of Barb's efforts to
achieve her Grade 12 diploma which she
will receive at graduation, ceremonies on
September 27 and no doubt, many of them
will •wish her well as she goes off to
Humber on September 3 to attend the nine
month course in Funeral Services.
