MRS. JOE WALKER

The W,M.S. of Knox
Presbyterian church met at
the home of Mrs. Keith
Moffatt, June 2. Mrs. Glenn
Golley opened the meeting
reading "Ten
Commandments For
Happiness."
Mrs. Wm. Elston gave
devotion from Luke 8, verses
4-21 saying Christians are to
be the light in the world, and
sharing with others is the
most important thing we can
do, she said. Earthly
relationships will pass away
but not God's.
Mrs. Ross Mann offered
prayer.
Fourteen members and
one guest answered the roll
call with a bible verse with
fruit in it. The offering was
received by Sandra Moffatt
and prayer by Mrs. Golley.
Plans for the Presbyterial
and the cold meat supper
were finalized.
Mary Moffatt introduced
Mrs. Hermano De Bruyn who
talked about the two boat
people they adopted. She
told of their arrival and said
that language is the biggest
problem. They have their
likes and dislikes as we all do.
They work very hard at their
classes and appreciate their
home here. They took
English classes at Blyth and
Listowel and some of the first
things they have to know are
the value of money, banking
and laws. They both have
jobs now in a butcher shop in
Moorefield. Marg. Moffatt
, thanked her.
