Life. after death?
nave you ever felt in touch
with someone who died,
experienced a special affinity
for a sPeckfic tittle and place
in the distant past, or had an
out-of-the-body experience?
According- to Ian Currie,
author of the best-selling
book "You Cannot Die,
such episodes occur fairly
often and are meaningful,
"It is extremely unfashion-
able to believe that the
individual's 'spirit' .,cT 'soul'
does indeed survive4Pliysical
death and, periodically, be-
comes reincarnate in a new
body," says the sociology
professor. However, re-
- search done over the last
, century by people in a great
variety of fields provides
convincing evidence that the
essential "self" does not
die."
Professor Currie's course,
which begins July 7, is one of
26 adult courses being offer-
ed during Summer Campus
'80. This vacation program is
unique in Canada. On the
restful and beautiful Univer-
• sity of Gnelph campus,
