Mr. and Mrs. Clarence
McCallum of Wingham
accompanied by Miss Clara

Mrs. Sheldon Mann attended
the funeral of the late Mrs.
Jas. McCallum at the Sifton
Funeral Home in St. Thomas
on Wednesday.
Twenty-one members and
three visitors attended the
May meeting of St. Steph-
en's Anglican Guild. The
bridal shower for Lynn
Crome, bride elect for June
was held in the lower hall of
the church. Mrs. Jasper Far-
rish opened with the Lord's
prayer. She chose a passage
of scripture on womanhood
for devotions, ' followed by
"Begin with Living."
Mrs. Roland Bennett gave
the secretary's report while
Mrs. Merrill Fisher followed
with the treasurer's report.
The craft show was a very big
success again this year.
A thank you card was read
from Mr. and Mrs. Robbie
(Steurnol) Charles, newly-
weds of April.
The church auction is to be
held May 31 at 1:00 with Ron
Shelley as auctioneer. Any
donations will be gratefully
accepted. Mrs. Harry Zim-
metman has begun some
research on a possible bus
trip either to Niagara Falls or
TorontO. Plans haVe not yet
been finalized.
Mrs. Orrence Laramie in-
vited all children from ages
6-12 to the Annual Children's
Festival on May 24. The
group will be going with the
Listowel group to Owen
Sound.

closed the meeting with
prayer, Contests were con-
ducted by Mrs. Jack Stafford (
Mrs, Hugh Jervis, Joan Cane
and Sherri Stafford were
enjoyed by all. Lypn thanked
everyone for the numerous
gifts she had received. The
hostesses served a delicious
lunch.

"The Come Alive Club"
Senior Citizens held their
games' night on Tuesday
evening in the Gotrie town
hall with seven tables in
play. High lady Mrs. Russel
Nickel, Fordwich; low - Mrs.
,Harvey Adams; men's high
Ivan Haskins; low - Melville
Dennis; lone hands - Mrs.
Harry Gowdy; Pres. - Jack
Ferguson announced that the
next euchre will be held in
the -fall. Members have
registered for the annual bus
trip in June.
The committee served
refreshments.
