Some arthritis
warning signs
Here are the warning signs
of rheumatoid arthritis:
-persistent pain and stiffness
on arising
—pain or tenderness in one
or more joints
—unexplained weight loss,
fever, weakness or fatigue
—recurrence of all or any of
these symptoMs
The signals may flicker on
and off, again, and again. If
neglected, they may, one
day, flare up with a sudden
violence, wreaking . serious
havoc in the joints.
It is important to remem-
ber that most cases of
rheumatoid arthritis can be
controlled when treatment
starts early enough. The sad
truth is that many people
have the symptoms for
months.before seeing, a doc-
tor. The crippling that was
once so prevalent with arth-
ritis patients need never
happen if the patient gets to
the doctor quickly and fol-
lows the doctor's orders.
Free information about
arthritis may be obtained by
writing to The Arthritis Soc-
iety,-920 Yonge St., Ste. 420(
