Education week started off
With a bang for the Grade 6
students of Brussels Public
School. On Monday we set
up a window full of 'math
titled "The Math Shop" in
the Thompson and Stevenson
Meat Market.
On Tuesday, May 6 we
held our assembly. We called
it "What Can You DO- with a
Song?" which turned out to
be a big hit! From Wednes-
day to Friday, some students
in the grade 6 class go to see
what it would be like to be a
teacher. On Wednesday
Shelley Draper and Karen.
Knight taught art for Moth-
er's Day. Earlier in the day
Paul Thompson and Robert
Willie introduced' the new
spelling words. Friday Deb-
bie Campbell and Connie
Alcock . gave us spelling
teams, Janice Vernon and
Kim Harris taught "Area" in
math and Dawn Maxwell and
Susan Markk showed the ,
grade 5 and 6 girls how .to
play indoor two-pitch.
To round the week off we
had a special guest on Friday
when Mrs. Dave CroCker
came to tell us about her trip
to Brazil which we are taking
about in Social Studies. We
learned many new and
strange things. And that is
the story Of Education Week
