People are against sin anyway,so why harp on it. Traffic Lights Should be turned off at dangerous intersections to save electricity. Everybody' knows it's a dangerous spot and that is sufficient. Police Should stop driving up and down the highways. No need to caution drivers by patrolling highways. Drivers know the law and obey it. Teachers Shouldn't review lessons. Tell children just once and they'll never forget it. FRIDAY DINNER • Donna's Special Farmers Sausage • Banquet Room for small weddings, banquets, private meetings Webbs honoured On Saturday evening, May 10, Mr. and Mrs. Allan Webb of Brussels and son David from Toronto were entertained at the home of George McCutcheon in cele- bration of the Webbs' 50th wedding anniversary. Following dinner, Vonne Buster, and Pauline Clarke on behalf of the McCutch- eons, Clarkes and Busters presented. Florence and Allan with a crystal vase and a dozen yellow roses. The celebrants then moved to the Oddfellows Hall where a surprise euchre party had been arranged in their honour. The hall was decor- ated with yellow and white streamers, yellow daffodils, candles and an anniversary cake. During the evening, eight games of euchre were played. The winners were Ada Smith, John. Sims, Margaret Kelly and Lottie McCutcheon. Following cards, Florence and Allan were escorted to decorated chairs for present- ations.. Janet McCutcheon, on behalf" of the Rebekah Lodge, gave them 50th anniversary cake plate. Glenn and Jeannie Bridge, on behalf of the Legion gave Allan a tie 4 ekand cuff links bearing the Legion crest and Florence a pair,• of ,earnings and necklace and a glass 50th anniversary candy dish. Bar- bara McCutcheon read an address and Judy Hahn, on behalf of those present, gave them a monetary gift. Many other gifts, and cards were also presented by their friends. Allan and Florence expressed their thanks and appreciation. A delicious lunch, provid- ed by the Ladies Auxiliary of the Legion, the Rebekahs and friends was served, smorgasbord style. , •
