Councillor Malcolm. Jacobs
explained that he had told
Mr. Langlois and other
Brussels residents that if
they dug up the drain and the
blockage was found to be the
fault of the construction
company that was installing
the sewers last year that the
company would have to pay
for it and that if it was not the
fault of the company, the
owner of the land would have
to pay. He said that the
problem at the Langlois
property had been that the
drain wasn't hooked up.
Reeve Krauter told Mr.
Langlois he would get a
revised bill. Mr. Langlois
then asked about the mess to
his yard. "It wasn't my fault
in the first place," he said.
Reeve Krauter told him
they would see the Temar
Construction Company about
fixing the mess in the yard'.
Mr. Langlois said he realized

why the lawyer for the village
had drawn up a by-law' for
the village to accept the

the land to come into the

Mr. ..King was to check
with, the surveyors B.M.

been surveyed to the point
where it could be registered
and if not, to ask- if the
survey that had been done
Was good enough.

-from , George Langlois who
said he was there- for two
reasons -- the first of which
was a request from the
Optimists for permission to
have a beer garden at their "
ball tournamnet which is to
he "held on the June 14th
weekend.
Mr. Langlois also asked
about a bill for $200 he had
been sent to fix up the. drain
in his yard.
it Wasni the village's fault
and that's why he was there,

Council later decided that
Mr. Linglois would only
