They were entertained by their family for brunch at the Corkscrew at. Square One in Mississauga. Later open house was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs., Allan Steedman, in Mississauga. Guests attended from Gorrie, Toronto, Stroud, Barrie and Kitchener. The couple were married May 4, 1935 in Clifford. They have two daughters Mrs. Jas (Fern) Wylie, Gorrie; Mrs. Allan (Nadine) Steedman, Mississauga. They also have five grandsons Tim of Calgary, Alta; Stephen, Gorrie; Mark, Paul and Darren of Mississauga. PERSONALS Mrs. Robert Gibson attended the Training Forum of the 32nd Annual Officers Conference of the Federated Women's Institute of Ontario April 29, 30 and May 1st held at the University of Waterloo. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Brown attended the 50th Wedding Anniversary celebration held in honour of Mr. and Mrs. Wilfred Mellis of Kippen at the home of Mrs. Agnes Burke of Wroxeter or Sunday, with approximately 25 attending. Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Pyke have returned after spending five months at the Cloverleaf Forest' in Brooks- ville, Florida. Mr. and Mrs. Wilfred B. Hoy of Wingham visited Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. George Brown. Mr. and Mrs. Archie Purdon, R .R.3, Wingham called at the same home on Sunday evening. Mrs. Bender speaks to Gorrie UCW Mrs. Aileen Bender of Gowanstown was 'guest speaker at the May 1st meeting of Unit 5 of the Gorrie United Church Women. Mrs. Bender was introduced by Mrs. Wesley Ball, with her talk being "God and Nature." .Mrs. Raymond Gowdy and Mrs. Robt. Strong sang a duet, "He Touched me" accompanied by Mrs. Sheldon Mann on the piano. Mrs. Robt. Sanderson whose birthday was that day received a potted plant. Members served lunch to over 25 attending. Mr. Wesley R. Ball had charge of the Sunday Service at Bervie, Kinloss and Chalmers United Church in the absence of Rev. Robt. Clyde.
