Fire broke out early Friday morning,
destroying a driving shed and some valuable
equipment in Grey Township.
Keith Nicholson of Lot 1, Concession. 3
Grey, noticed the fire which by that point
was coming out of roof. He called the
Brussels and • Wingham fire departments
who arrived around 4:30 'a.m. •
The shed contained a combine, a baler, a
gravel truck, fertilizer, seed corn and tools.
Gordon Engel, fire Chief of the Grey fire
department said that approximately $60,000

These postal strikes seem to have become a,

great surprise if we are-subjected to it. As
usual it will be the general public who suffer

The Montreal Canadians lost their chance
to take the Stanley Cup Championship for
the fifith consecutive year. The Minnesoto
North Stars scuppered them when they
scored a 4-3 victory in the seventh game of
the quarter finals. Hooray for them! It must
mean improvement in the N.H.L. not to have
the same team win the championship year
after lean Those Minnesoto youngsters
gave it everything they had and they
deserved their well earned victory over the
experienced Canadians. They were
definitely the undredogs but they did it with
supfeme effort and it was good to see it
happen. Can the North Stars keep up ,the
pace and hope for the Championship:
