Participa- ting were Junior Institute members from Lucknow, Maple Keys, Jean Scott (Guelph) West End (Guelph) and Walter's' Falls as well as Howick members. After a get- together over coffee and muffins, Mary O'Malley of. Mary's Green- houses in Teeswater gave an informative talk about house plants. Using many thriving examples, Mrs. O'Malley explained the different effects that lighting, temperature and moisture have on greenery. She also took time to answer many questions about problems members were experiencing. Throughout the day numerous draws were made for door prizes donated by local merchants. After -a lunch and sing song members divided into work- shops to discuss different areas of Institute work. To complete the program Joyce Lockie of the Howick branch discussed the steps in making terrariums: Each member constructed one of her own. The program closed with words of greeting from Marjorie Humphries of Walton, president of East Huron's Women's Institutes and Donna Clark of Walter's Falls president of Junior Institutes of Ontario.
