. "Easter" was the pre-
dominating theme when
Melville W.M.S. met on
Friday in the church'parlour.
The president, Mrs. James
Mair opened the meeting
with prayer, and welcomed
the members and a visitor,
Mrs. William Campbell of
Molesworth, a • former
member of Melville Church.
Twelve visits to sick and
shut-ins were reported.
The devotionial period was
taken by Mrs. Gerald Gibson
who read the scripture, Mrs.
John Yuill, who gave the
meditation and Mrs. Elsie
Evans who led in prayer.
Mrs. Evans also told of a
visit to Forest. Lawn
Cemetery in California where
the story of the Last Supper
and the Resurrection are
portrayed in colour behind a
huge glass window. The
beauty .and wonder of the
series were awe-inspiring.
Mrs. Ken Innes gave the
Easter Message based on
Mark's gospel which in some
opinions is the most
complete story of the
Resurrecitons and. Ascension
of Jesus.
Mrs. Mair thanked her and
all who had taken part in the
meeting.
