The' Easter meeting, of the
afternoon unit was held in
the church parlour. Fourteen
members were in attendance
while 24 visitations were
made during the month.
Mrs. Cudmore read
"Easter Thoughts" as she
welcomed the Ladies. The
Program was in, charge of
Mrs. Smith and the Study
was convened by Mrs. Sand-
erson. A story entitled
`'Hobson's Choice" was
offered by Mrs. Smith. °
Psalm 35 was read on
unison which served as the
Scripture Study. Mrs.
Sanderson explained that
this Psalm is a prayer for
help. She used the story of
the Life of Corey Ten. Boom
to illustrate her line of
thought:Corey was a Dutch
girl who spent time in a Nazi
concentration camp. Her
only possession was her
Bible and her deep faith in
God. Since her release she
has continued to serve her
Lord by exalting Him where-
ever she serves.
In contrast, the story of
Roger Caron also arousespur
sympathy as he tells Of his
prison life in "Go Boy, Go".
His childhood years were
filled with neglect and abuse
until at the age of 18 he was
imprisoned on 'theft charges.
He was in and out of jail until
1978 when at the age of 41 he
was released on parole. Due
to some influence of the
Salvation Army he began to
read and write. He wrote
manuscripts of his prison life
and with the help of Pierre
Berton they were edited.
Mrs. Smith gave an
account of the building of a
Centre for Indian Children on
the Rousseau River. It was
built according to plans
