March has been in ex-
tremely busy month at Cal-
lancler. With the craft Pro-
gram now in• full swing, 'our
residents have been busily .
engaged in making some
unique craft items. Under
the direction of Peg Cudmore)
Ida. Evans and Eleanor Hem-
ingway, the program has
become not only an enjoyable
social hour, but a very pro. .n
ductive time , as well. The
crafts are now on display in
the main hall. ,
Callander has received 'an
invitation fromihe Wingham
Day Centre for, the Home-
bound to display crafts at
their Craft Show which is
being held in the Wingham
Armouries on. Wednesday
April 30th from 3 p.m. to 6
p.m. Callander's volunteers
and residents are looking
forward to attending! and
participating.

under pressure. Pigs traded
even. There were 626 cattle
and 1249 pigs on offer.

win hockey trophy
Nomination night was held
April 2 at a dinner meeting of
the Belgrave Kinsmen in .the
arena.
Rev. Roberts was guest
speaker, and answered many
questions.
The Belgrave Kinsmen
were undefeated and won the
trophy at the Pt. Elgin
Hockey Tournament. At the
March 29-30 Collingwood
Hockey Tournament the
Kinsmen won three and lost
one game to win the
consolation trophy. Tom
Black received a broken
nose, but still won the most
valuable player award.
Belgrave Kinsmen won the
Curling Bonspiel in Seaforth
and placed second and third
in the Harriston Bonspiel.
Robert. Gordon won the
Chinese auction. The Bel-
grave Kinsmen are making
plans for a bike rodeo this
spring and will supply travel
arrangements for senior citi-
zens to the operetta at the
Belgrave Public School on
May 9th. Next meeting will
be the election of officers for
the coming Kinsmen year..
