Constable Hassell of
Goderich presented a film on
seniors' safety, showing
many ways seniors can help
protect themselves. These
included protection against
purse sn atching, crank
phone calls, breaking and
entering the home, The
question and answer period
following was especially
informative. Mrs. Simmons
thanked Const Hassell and
presented him with a gift.
The fee for the officers
conference are to be sent.
Mrs. Bert Garniss, incoming
president, or an alternate,
will be a delegate. A framed,
movable single mirror,
valued at $332.65 Is to be
ordered for and used by
members of the Stroke Unit
in connection with the
Winghara and District
Hospital,
Mrs, Wendell Stamper
gave a report of the East
Huron District executive
meeting held in Gorrie, The

Dluevale W.I, will be re-
sponsible for the courtesy
remarks and will host the
District Annual in 1981,
A letter was read from
Mrs. Clarence Diamond,
F.W.I.O. president, stating
that 1980 has been de-'
signated The Year of the
Women's Institute. She
suggested that organization
plan programs to acquaint a117
women of the community
with the volunteer efforts for
all to become better informed
citizens.
Members noted.-- that
publicity given their cook-
books in The Rural Voice has
helped sales. The meeting
closed with Jutich and an
enjoyable social time.
Miss ,Maureen Walters
will be in charge of the
service in Knox Presbyterian
Church, Sunday March 2.
She is a candidate for
ministry in filuevale. A vote
by ballot will take place, at
the close of the service
