Mr. Procter said they had decided to increase the hockey and skating rates which were previously 25 cents to 50 cents for a child, $1.00 for an adult and $3.00- per family and are now charging on Sundays, 'whereas it had been free skating, • He also thought they could have a deficit for the year of about $2,700 and that they would likely need an extra $1,000 from each township besides other grant money, that Eash Wawanosh and. They defeated the strong Czechoslovakian Olympic team, rated one of the best amateur teams in the world, by a score of 6-3 in Calgary. Our young Canadians skated with them and matched their passing ability. It was a crucial test and they came through on top. They must repeat that victory, defeating the Czechs at the Winter Olympics at Lake Placid, to win a medal. They have the courage and skill to do it. Bluevale Hall Boardl, and made an addition to By-Law #1 increasing labor wages to $4.75 up from $4.30. Council, heard that the township's subsidy allocation from the Ministry of Transporation and.
