first game of the second
round of playoffs. They
picked up. a 6-3 victory
over the. Teeswater team.
Scoring for Brussels was

Knight 1 goal each.
Assists went to Tim Fritz
and Kevin McArter.

this round of playoffs.

Wednesday night and

They travelled to Tara
on Friday night and won
their game only after
playing a 10 minute over-
time period. The score was
6-5. •Goal scorers were

regular time. Assists went

Tenpas, Ken Cousins and
Mike Watson. Brussels
scored 2 goals and Tara 1
in' the overtime period.

getting the winning goal

eliminated Tara 'from the
series. Brussels 'will now
play the winner of the
.Blyth-Zurich series,
possibly on Wednesday
night.
The Bantam team,
opened their second series
With Drayton on
Wednesday night in.
Drayton. They scored a 5-3
win. Brussels goal scorers
were Kevin Wheeler with
2, Dean Rutledge, Darrin
Rutledge, Rob Cardiff 1
each. Assists went to
Doug Shaw, Rob Bone-
schansker, Darrin Watts,

They played the second
game in Brussels on
Friday night and after
playing a 10 minute
overtime period the score
remained tied at 3-3.

Brussels will play in
Drayton on Wednesday,
Should they loose the
fourth game will be back
in Brussels on Friday
night. A tie is all they
need to eliminate Drayton.
The Novice team played
an exhibition game at
home on Saturday night
with Lucknow. They
defeated the visitors 5-1.
Jeff Earl was the leading
scorer with 4 goals, Tim
Dillow got the' single. All
goals were unassisted.
Mrs. Jean Taylcit spent the
weekend in Beamsville and
St. Catherines, She attended
the funeral of her sister-in,-
law, (Rev.) C.E. Taylor,.
Rev. Taylor was a :former'
minister at' Ethel, United
Church.
Mrs. Ida Evans has return-
ed home after spending two
weeks with Mrs, Olive Arm-
strong in London.
Mrs. Gertrude Bolger visi•
ted recently with Mr. and
Mrs. Ross Fowler of South-
ampton and in Port Elgin
with Mr. and Mrs. Don
Fowler. While there she also

were in Palmerston on
Sunday as representatives
of the C-1 Zone district
winners to participate in
the tournament of other
zone winners. Their first
game was against Meaford'
and they defeated them
2-1. Kevin McArter scored
both goals unassisted.
They played their second
game o gainst Walkerton
and were defeated 4-1.

unassisted.

and their coaches would
