NICHOLSON—THORNTON
Amid a Christmas setting of pine, poinsettia, holly and
red velvet bows, a candlelight ceremony united in
marriage Cindy Susan Thornton and. Raymond Frederick
Nicholson, both of Toronto, on Saturday, December 22 at
4:00 p.m. at Thornton Heath, Bluevale, the home of the
bride's parents.
Parents of the bridal couple are Mr. and Mrs. Wilson
Thornton, Bluivale and Mr. and Mrs. Garner Nicholson,
Belgrave.
Rev. Wilena Brown, Varna, assisted by Mr. Robert ,
Perry, Bluevale, officiated at the double ring ceremony.
Miss Marie Muldawney, Toronto,. friend of the bride
was maid of honour. Miss Lyanne Leeson, Stettsville,
cousin of the bride was bridesmaid. Kimberly Wyde of
Mount Hope, niece of the groom was flower girl.' Jamie
Thornton, Windsor, nephew of the bride was ring bearer.
Mr. Robbie Nicholson, Belgrave, brother of the • groom,
-was best man.
Miss Sherry Nicholson,,Ailiston, niece of the groom was
in charge of the guest book and 'gift display:
Mr. F.E. Madill was toastmaster. The couple will be
travelling to Quebec City for their honeymoon.
An honoured guest at the wedding was Mrs. Etta Cook
of Lucknow, grandmother of the groom.
Both the bride and groom are 1975 graduates of F.E. '
Madill Secondary School, Wingham. The bride, a 1979
graduate of the University of Toronto, 'is on the staff of the
International Student Centre at Toronto University. She 'is
'also continuing her studies in the M.B.A. program at York
University, as a part time student. The groom is in his
third year in the Faculty of Medicine, University of
Toronto. They are residing at 666 Spadina Avenue, Apt.
