Good steers-80.00 to 83.00 Two steers consigned by Robert Kreller of Fordwich averaging 1155 lbs. sold for' 86.75 with his lot of 14 steers averaging 1149 lbs. , selling for 85.00. - Nine steers consigned by Bruce Eden Farms of Luck- now averaging 1101 lbs. sold for 86.60 with their lot of 18 steers averagirig 1161 lbs. selling for an overall price of 86.35. Fifteen, heifers consigned by Bob McDonald of ,Brus,. sels averaging 940 lbs. sold for an overall price of 80.15 Nemminom6immeressi Public School, received the first prize school trophy, plus a take-home trophy and a book. Alto receiving books were second prize winner, Nancy Henry of Turnberry Central :School and third prize winner Lisa Rundle of Usborne Central Public School. The top three prize winners were all grade eight students. Dawn Jewell of Elma Town- ship School, Angela. Gower of Clinton Public School, Karen Heather of Huron Park Public School and Vicki Pfaff of Usborne Central Public School were also runners-up in the conteSt. The essay, contest is the first, of its type held by the MNR-the Wingham District. Future contests will expand to include more elementary schools in, this annual event. The participating . grade seven and eight students chose from various topics which dealt with- such Ministry programt as forest Resources, provincial parks, fisheries,' wildlife, ' and mineral resources. Topics were selected by the ministry staff and the contest developed the theme "Managing our natural resources.' ' Essays were judged according to sped& criteria of orgmality, content and grammar.
