A group of young people frOm the Zion Mennonite Church, east on the 12th concession entertained re- sidents here on Friday evening, December 21, singing carols. This was ap- preciated by. all who heard them. • Will Perrie, Jr., who has been in Boston for some time, was ' home for Christmas and will be going to Vaticouver, a.c. Misses Janet. Veitch, Her- nice van Donkersgoed, Sharon and Rosanne Engel, all of London, spent Christ- mas with their parents. Mr. and. Mrs. Gordon Engel, Sharon, Paul and Susan spent a few days visiting friends in London. Mrs. Stuart Stevenson was hostess for the December 'meeting of the W.M.S. Fifteen adults and seven children sat down to a pot luck dinner The president, Mr*. Wilfred. Stricker opened the meeting' and told of some new ideas for meetings, in 1980. The minutes were read by Mrs. Jack Knight and Mrs. St anley Fischer recorded 15 visifs and 13 cardst The January Meeting will be the annual meeting of .the Ladies Aid, to be held at the home of Mrs. George Smith on January 9. Members were reminded to bring their stamps and Cards Mrs. Leslie Knight then took over 'for the singing of carols and a Christmas program. The Christmas story was read by Mrs. Fred Smith, Mrs. Lorne Strickler and the leader. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Mitchell are going to Thorold to spend the holiday season with their" family.
