A PLAQUE FROM THE VILLAGE — The village of Brussels gave Pierre
de Vos a plaque from the village, of Brussels for him to take back to the
mayor of the city of Brussels, Belgium. Presenting the plaque was Reeve
Cal Krauter and inthe middle is French-speaking interpreter Rene

Morris Township Council
rescinds two 1978 by-laws
regarding the Pletch sub-
division in Belgrave and new 1
developer Sam Pletch will
have to have lots in his
subdivision severed through
the county land division
committee instead of having
the township take possession
of some areas of the sub-
division, checkerboarding
the lots and selling the
severed lots back to Mr.
Pletch.
The Brussels, Morris and
Grey Catering Committee
presents a $3,000 cheque to
the Brussels Recreation
Committee with the money to
go toward arena mainten-
ance.

Rev. Ken Campbell, lead-

The Huron County' Board
of Education approves 20
field trips for elementary and
secondary school students
-but after a 20 minute debate
on field trips decides that in
the future a "tougher look"
will be given to school
excursions.

Brussels council sets
budget with good and bad"
news for the ratepayers. The
good news is that the vil-
lage's tax rate is down but
the bad news is that the
Board of Education's rate is
up.
The Majestic Women's
Institute raises almost $1600
for cancer research.
