A bus week for ,hockey

The Midgets were at home
--to Huron Park and defeated
them 12-3. Scoring for

There was lots of Minor
hockey activity this past
week for the teams in
Brussels. On Monday night
the Midgets travelled to
Zurich where the score
ended in a 5-5 tie. Scoring for
Brussels was Ken Cousins 2
goals, Brian Tenpas 2, Kevin
Dietner 1. Assists went to
Todd'Wheeler, Ken Higgins,
Ken Cousins, Mike Watson,
Paul Johnston, Brian
Tenpas.
On Wednesday night there
were two games at home
with the Atoms scoring a
15-0 win over Hensall. Marty
Rutledge and Dean
Nicholson led the way with 5
goals each, Dean Wheeler 4,
Brussels Peewees and
Bantams hosted two teams
from the Hamilton area on
the weekend playing two
games Saturday night and
two games Sunday morning.
On Saturday evening the
Glanbrook team was
victorious in defeating the
local boys 5-3. On Sunday
morning the Brussels team
rallied to defeat Glanbrook
Peewees 4-2 in a good game
of hockey from both teams.
Scoring Saturday night for
Brussels was Sean Kieffer,
Dean Wheeler and Marty
Rutledge. Assists went to
Kevin McArter, Tim Fritz,
David Wheeler, Marty
Rutledge. On Sunday Kevin
McArter scored 2 goals with
Rick Knight and Dean
Wheeler scoring singles.
Assists went to Shawn

The Bantams had no
difficulties in winning their
games. On Saturday night it
was Brussels 13, Glanbrook
1, and on Sunday Brussels 9,
Glanbrook 1. Scoring for
Brussels on Saturday was

Cardiff 3, Darrin Watts 2;
RobBoneschansker, Paul
Machan, Peter Bennett, Dean

On Sunday Peter Bennett
led the attack 3 goals, Darrin

The Peewees travelled to
Hensall to defeat them 17-0,

On Friday night a double
header at home had Ripley
Peewees in town to play the
first game. Brussels scored a
4-2 victory. Kevin McArter
scored all 4 goals with assists
from Sean Kieffer, Kevin
Johnston, David Wheeler.
Darrin Watts.
The Brussels' Teams will
be returning to Benbrook
sometime after the New Year
as the guests of the Glan-
brook teams.
The Bantams were at
home to Goderich and scored
a 6.2 victory over the visitors.
Rob Cardiff scored the hat
trick for Brussels with Brian
Wheeler scoring 2 goals and
Dean Rutledge getting a
single. Assists went to Peter
Bennett, Doug Shaw, Kevin
Wheeler, Dean . Rutledge,
Darrin Watts, Rob
Boneschansker.
The Bantams were also in
Zurich on Wednesday night
for a good game of hockey
and scored a 5-4 victory.
Kevin Wheeler scored 3
goals for the Brussels Club
with singles going to Darrin
Watts and Doug Shaw.

Rutledge, Rob Cardiff, Peter
Bennett.
" The Atom team was in
Blyth on Friday night to pick
p a 6-3 win over the Blyth
squad. The scorers were not
reported.
The Novice team got their
game of the week in when
they travelled to Seaforth for
a game on Sunday al 1 p.m.
They defeated the. Seaforth
team by a 3-0 score. Jeff Earl
scored all three goals for the
Brussels team. The assists
were not reported.
