(Sorena) Austin of Gorrie was presented with Meritious Award for outstanding service at the Remembrance Day Banquet at the Howick Community Centre recently,Mrs. Howard Carroll of Goderich Hon. Trea s. of Provincal Command to the Ladies Auxiliary of the Royal Canadian Legon presented this award with Badge and Lapel Pin. Her son Chief Warrant Officer Glenn Austin of Petawawa pinned her corsage. Mrs. Austin was Charter President of the Ladies Auxiliary to the Howick Legion, a member for 31 years; 20 years a secretary. This is the highest award of the Ladies Auxiliary. Ben Pentland of London, past Supt. Dept of Veteran Affairs was the guest speaker. Fred Tilker of Han- over Provincal Award Correspondent. MRS.
