That means there are now 28 members al- together. There is free curl- ing until Christmas for new members. On Wednesday night the Atoms were at home to Huron Park whom they defeated 11-0. Marty Rutledge led ^ the Brussels attack with 7 goals, Dean Wheeler 3, Bruce Johnston 1. Assists went to Paul Koetsier, Dean Nichol- son, Rodney Nicholson, Jeff Alcock , Dean Wheeler. On Friday night the Pee- wees were at home to Huron Park also and defeated them 18-1. Kevin McArter scored 5 goals, Jim. Fritz 4, Paul Tolton 2, Rich Knight 2, David Wheeler , 2, Sean Kuffer 1, Wayne Wheeler 1, Shawn Bremner 1. Assists went to Kevin Johnston, Paul Tolton, Jim Fritz, Shawn Bremmer, Wayne Wheeler, Rick Knight, Kevin McArter, Robbie Zimmer, David Wheeler. The second game on Friday night had Zurich playing the Brussels boys. In a good game of hockey the score ended in a 4-4 tie. Zurich led 3-0 at the end of the first, 3-1 at the second and Brussels came back to score 3 unanswered goals to tie the score. Brussels goal scorers were Kevin Leis, Paul Machan, Rob Cardiff, Doug Shaw. Assists went to Darrin Watt s and Peter Bennett. On Saturday afternoon the Novice Team travelled to Mitchell for an exciting hockey game. The first two periods were a scoreless tie. 'Jeff Earl assisted by Ian Johnston finally came through with a goal in the third period for Brussels to win the game 1-0. The Atom team travelled to Huron Park on Saturday to win 9-0.
