Banquet and get together for
the Grey Twp. Fireman,
Council, and employees and
their wives was held at the
Moncrieff Community
Centre on 'Saturday evening,
Nov, 24. The Moncrieff W,I.
catered for the dinner and
Ron McLean was M.C.' for
the program which followed.
Wm. Mann was presented
with a trophy in appreciation
of his years of service 1956 -
1979, in the department by
fire chief Gordon Engel. All
A Pot luck supper and a
Christmas demonstration
were the highlights of the
November meeting of the
Brussels Horticultural Soc-
iety, The meeting opened
with supper. Mrs, George
Wheeler, vice president
made a presentation of $200.
to the Leo's for their excel-
lent care of the town beds.
President Tim Prior, vice
pres. Gary McCutcheon
accepted. Mrs. Wheeler was
given a token gift for her help
with the Leo's. Mrs, Walter
Kerr was remembered for
her faithfulness as pianist
over 20 years.
Following the clearing of
the tables, guest Mrs. D.
Matheson of Listowel did a
Christmas demonstration us-
ing a number of natural
things such as cones, nuts
and wild grasses and weeds.
Mrs. Cudmore thanked Mrs.
Matheson and presented a
gift,
Mr. A. Knight read the
ent trophy to Mann
enjoyed a contest conducted
by Mr. and Mrs. Bob
Bremner. The remainder of
the evening was spent in
dancing at Family Paradise.
