Wednesday night found
two teams at home playing a
double header with Blyth
being the visiting team in
both cases. The first game
had the Atoms victorious
with a 6-1 score. Scoring for
Brussels was Dean Wheeler
with 4 goals and Marty
Rutledge--2. Assists went to
Steve Wheeler, Bruce John-
ston, Craig Workman, Mike
Saxon, Dean Nicholson.
In the second game of the
night, the Blyth Midgets
defeated Brussels 7-5. Ken
Cousins scored 2 goals for
the home team with Brian
Tenpas, Todd Wheeler and
Paul Johnston getting sing-
les. Assists went to Steve
Knight, Brian Tenpas, Paul
Johnston and Doug McArter.
On Friday night, the Pee-
wees were at home to Blyth
also. In a good game of
hockey the home team picked
up a 2-1 victory. Goals were
scored by Kevin McArter
from Kevin Johnston and
Sean Kieffer from David
Wheeler.
The second game of the
night had the Elma-Logan
Bantams in town and they
defeated Brussels 10-2. Both
Brussels goals were scored
by Kevin McArter with
assists coming from Brian
Wheeler, 2, and Doug Shaw,
one assist.
The Atom team was in
Blyth on Friday night where
they picked up an 8-1 win.
Scoring for the home team
was Marty Rutledge with 4
goals, Dean Wheeler with 3

visitors scored the first goal
in the second period. Brus-
sels came back to tie the
score mid-way through the
third period and then scored
the go ahead goal a minute
later and managed to hold
the lead for a victory. Brus-
sels' goals were scored by
Jeff Earl and Tim Dillow.
The only assist went to Mark
Pennington.
