GUMDROP BARS
(Makes 3 doz. bars)
2 cups all purpose flour
1 cup finely chopped gumdrops
(assorted colours except black)
1/2 cup chopped pecans.
4 eggs
1 tablespoon water
2 cups packed brown sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
% tsp. salt.
Orange Icing (can be omitted as desired)
Thoroughly mix flour, gumdrops and
pecans, set aside in large mixed bowl beat
eggs with water till foamy. Gradually add
brown sugar, beating till light. Beat in
cinnamon and salt. Stir in gumdrop
mixture. Spread evenly in greased 15 x 10 x
1 inch baking pan. Bake in 375° oven. for
15 to 20 minutes or till done.
While still warm, spread with Orange
Icing and cut into bars. Garnish with sliced
gumdrops.
ORANGE ICING
In mixing bowl combine 2 cups sifted
powdered sugar, 3 tablespoons butter or
margarine (melted); 1 teaspoon finely
shredded orange peel and enough orange
juice to make spreading consistency
(about) 2 tablespoons.

CHOCOLATE MARSHMALLOW
BROWNIES
2 eggs
1 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup butter
1/2 cup chopped nuts
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 cup flour
4 tbsp. cocoa
Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and
beat well. Add vanilla and beat. Mix in
flour and cocoa and nuts. Place in greased
9 x 9 pan. Bake 350° for 25 minutes. Place
marshmallows on top that have been cut in
half. Place cut side down. Wrap in towel
and cool. Ice with chocolate butter icing.
JIFFY SQUARES
Place whole graham wafers in bottom of
9 x 9" pan.
Bring to a boil:
1 cup butter
1 cup brown sugar
1 egg, beaten
1/3 cup milk
Remove from heat and add:
1 cup crushed graham wafers
1 cup coconut
1/2 cup walnuts
Chill in refrigerator until set. Put pink
icing on top.

Melt
1/2 cup butter in saucepan
2 cups graham wafer crumbs
Blend in:
'/4 cup white sugar
1/3 cup cocoa
1 tsp. vanilla
1 egg
11/2cucup c coconut
Tio6plipuetd walnuts
- Press into 9" square pan, place in
fridge.
Cream:
% cup butter, Blend in 2 tbsp. vanilla
instant pudding powder
3 tbsp. milk
2 cups icing sugar.
Spread over chilled crumbs and return to
frig to set.
Melt 3 oz. sweet chocolate, 1 tbsp.
butter. Spread on chilled icing. Chill again
before cutting into bars or squat-
