3 squares semi-sweet chocolate
3 tbsp. butter
1 egg
1 c icing sugar
1/2 lb. coloured miniature marshmallows
1 c cnopped nuts
1/2 c cherries
Melt chocolate and butter.
Beat in the egg, icing sugar, and rest of
ingredients.
Chill and then roll into two rolls in
coconut.
Keep in refrigerator and slice when
desired.
Can also be put in 8" square pan.
Sprinkle bottom with coconut and add
marshmallow mixture.
Sprinkle with coconut. Cut in squares.

OATMEAL MUFFINS
1/2 or 3/4 cup uates, cuf tine
Pour 1 c boiling water over dates, let
cool.
1 c brown sugar
1/4 c cooking oil
1 'egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c oatmeal
% tsp. salt
1 c flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
Mix in order given, then add dates,
water with the flour.
Bake 20 minutes in 350 degree oven.

COFFEE CAKE
2 tbsp butter (melted)
3/4 c brown sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1% c Robin Hood Flour all-purpose
3 tsp baking powder
IA tsp. salt
% c white sugar
1/3 c short ening
1 egg
1 c milk
1/2 tsp. vanilla
Melt 2 tbsp butter. Stir in brown sugar
and cinnamon (set aside for top).
Measure flour without sifting. Add
baking powder, salt and sugar and stir
thoroughly._
Cut in shortening.
Make a hollow and add egg, milk, and
vanilla then combine with dry ingredients
mixing just until moistened.
Turn in pan and sprinkle with topping.
Bake at 375° in a 8" x 8" pan for 30 to 35
minutes.

DARK RICH FRUIT CAKE
4 c seedless raisins
2 c dried currants
11/2 c candied pineapple
1/2 c whole red glazed cherries
1/2 c whole green glazed cherries
11/2 c mixed candied peel including
citron
% cup strong tea
2 c sliced blanched almonds
11/2 c butter or shortening at room
temperature
2 c brown sugar
8 large eggs
1/3 c molasses
1 tsp. vanilla
21/2 c all purpose flour
1/2 tsp. soda
4 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. ginger
% tsp. nutmeg
V2 tsp. mace.
Combine all fruits and peel. (Not nuts).
Sprinkle with tea. Soak while proceeding to
next step. In a very large bowl or dish pan
cream butter until light. Beat in sugar. Add
eggs one at a time. Beat well. Stir in
molasses and vanilla. Add soda, salt and
spices to flour. Add flour mixture to soaked
fruit and add almonds. Then add all to
creamed mixture and mix thoroughly.
Line 3 standard greased loaf pans with a
double layer of waked paper. Bake at 275°
for 31/2 hours. Put a pan of water in the
oven for the entire baking time. Cool. Will
freeze well.

FRYING PAN COOKIES
1 c brown sugar
2 beaten eggs
11/2 c chopped dates
Mix sugar and eggs together, add dates.
Cook 10 to 12 minutes in a heavy frying
pan. Remove from heat and add:
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c chopped walnuts
1/2 c chopped cherries
11/2 c rice krispies
2/3 c coconut
Mix thoroughly. Cool to lukewarm and
roll in balls. Roll balls in coconut.

3 c cooked turkey (chopped)
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 pkg. frozen peas cooked
3 tomatoes sliced or canned tomatoes
seasoned dressing
11/2 c milk
RASPBERRY DELIGHT
1 1/4 c graham wafers
1/2 c icing sugar
1/4 c melted butter
Mix and pat in 8" x 8" pan, reserve 1/4 c
for top.
Dissolve one package raspberry jello in 1
c hot water, add 1 package frozen
raspberries, stir till set, pour over crust.
Melt 20 marshmallows in double boiler
with 1/2 cup milk. Cool. Fold in % pint
whipping cream (whipped).
Pour over raspberry mixture, sprinkle
remaining crumbs on top.

BOSTON CREAM PIE
3 eggs
1/2 c white sugar
1/4 c milk
1 c all purpose flour
1/4 tsp. Baking powder, pinch of salt
1 tsp. vanilla
Beat eggs and sugar till thick and
creamy. Add milk and flavouring, fold in
flour, baking powder and salt, sifted.
Bake in 2 jelly pans in 300 degree oven
for 30 to 35 minutes. When cool slice in two
layers (4 in all) put cream filling between.
Put whip cream on top, or icing .

APPLESAUCE RAISIN CAKE
2/3 c melted butter 1 c brown sugar
1 c raisins
1 c chopped walnuts
1% cup hot unsweetened applesauce
2 c flour
2 tsps baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 Lsp. ginger
1/2 tsp. salt
Frosting
2 tbsp. butter
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
11/2 c icing sugar
2 tbsp. milk
Put soda in applesauce. Mix rest of
ingredients in usual way adding apple-
sauce last. Bake 350° for 35 - 40 minutes,
Cool and ice with frosting.

2 tbsp. butter
Place turkey in 10" casserole. Spread
soup evenly over turkey. Add layer of peas
and tomato. Sprinkle 1" layer of dressing
over the top. Heat together milk and
butter. Pour evenly over top. Bake 25
minutes at 400°.
