Mrs. Harry Mulvey, Mr. Harvey McMichael and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Gibson attended the, Warden's Banquet in Goderich, Thurs- day night Nov. 1. Blundell of Howick, New Zealand who is vacationing in Canada visited Mr. and Mrs. Harold, Robin- son on Saturday and brought greetings from the Mayor of Howick New Zealand to the Township of Howick. He was accompanied by Mr. Philip Dumper, Karen and Steven of Oakville. They were taken on a tour of Howick township. Mrs. Mabel Harris of Lambeth, Carl Johnston of Bluevale and Mr. and Mrs. Everett Sparling of Goderich called on Miss Jean Sparling and Mr. Harvey Sparling on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Murray Grainger and Christopher of London visited Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Grainger also Mr. Cecil Grainger at Brook- haven, Wingham. Mr. Birks Robertson of Teeswater visited Sunday with Mrs. Glad. Edgar who returned home from Victoria Hospital, London on Friday; and also called Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Edgar. COME ALIVE CLUB • The Gorrie Senior Citizens, "Come Alive Club" held their games Night in the Town Hall on Tuesday evening with eight tables of Euchre and one of Crokinole in play. High Lady was Mrs. Clifford Cooke; Low Mrs. Harvey Adams; Men High - Ivan Haskins, Low playing as man - Mrs. Lloyd Jacques. Driver of car with most passengers - Harvey Sim- mons, Wroxeter. Gray and Mrs. William Thornton pe leaders / had fifteen girls participating in the classes. ' Achievement Day will be December 1st in Howick Central School at 9 a.m. The first of a series of meetings, on . "Indoor Gardening'; the Senior Short Course sponsored by the Gorrie Women's Institute was held in the Gorrie Community Hall, last Wednesday. The course includes instruction on _decorating with plants, herb gardening, terrariums and macrame hanging sets. The next meeting will be held Wed.
