There were 1087 cattle and 2630 pigs on offer. Choice steers 77,00 to 81.00 with sales to 82.35. Good steers 75.00 to 77.00. Murray Hall, 17 of Brussels was recently fined $300 for wounding a neighbour's dog. Mr. Hall pleaded guilty to the charge when he appeared in provincial court in Listowel on Wednesday, September 5. The court was informed that the dog, a family pet of Herbert Anderson, was shot During the week September 10 - 16, OPP officers at Wingham detach- ment conducted 52 investiga- tions. Forty-eight charges were laid under the Highway Traffic Act and 11 warnings were issued. Nine charges were laid under the liquor licence act. Harris Spotton of 1729 George Ave., Windsor died suddenly on September 5 after a short illness. Born in Howick Township in 1903, he was the husband of Loretta Nichol. Surviving besides his wife are one son, Murray Spotton, of Oakville; three grand- children, and one sister, Mrs. ' Marie Roadhouse of Ottawa. He rested at Anderson's Funeral Home, 895 Ouellette kve. Funeral Service was Friday, September 7th at 2:30 p.m. Re;ierend Canon R. Matthewman officiated. Interment was in Victoria Memorial Park, Windsor. Ethel' Correspondent MRS.
