The successful candidate will be responsible for directing all day to day activities of the Home, including the residents' wellbeing, nursing, recreational and other social services, finance and accounting, housekeeping, personnel, etc. and for co-ordinating these activities with short- and long-term plans and programs. He or she will work with professionals such as the Medical Director and visiting chaplains of various faiths. The Admini- strator will report to the Committee of Management. The ideal candidate will have several years' progressively responsible experi- ence of administering diverse functions in a similar setting; a demonstrated interest in elderly persons; he or she will have, or be willing to undertake, studies in the 'field, including a sound knowledge of Ontario's Homes for the Aged and Rest Homes Act and The Charitable Institutions Act; and a proven capacity for developing good public relations and community liaison.
