Jack Yuill of Brussels and Mr. and Mrs. Walter Bewley of Walton were guests at the Park-Edgar wedding, in Pe- trolia, on Saturday. Ross Duncan is a patient in Wingham and District Hospi- tal. Mrs. Dawn White, Mrs. Isabel Huether and. Mrs. Doris Fischer visited with Mr. and Mrs. Lyle and Mary Coony at Orangeville last week. Mrs. Edwin Martin of Brussels and Miss Melda McElroy of Blyth have re- turned from a tour of Eastern United States and Cape Cod Area. Mr. and Mrs. Murray Huether accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Ross Knight of Friends of the Burchill family, formerly of Brussels, were shocked to learn that a head-on collision had cla- imed the life of Scott Burchill of Perth. The fatal accident occurred on Saturday night, August 12th. Mr. Burchell wasMayor of Perth for a number of years. Mr. and Mrs. George Elliott and Mr. and Mrs. Howard Bernard and Gwen are on a trip to Scotland. Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Logan are vacationing in Western Canada. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Bow- man and Jim of Morris Township; Mrs. Floyd Hum- phrey of Palmerston; Mrs. Smiles — THE BRUSSELS POST, AUGUST 22, 1979 CHAMPION RIDER — Gerry Bremner of Brussels, a member of the Maitland Dirt Riders, won first place in the Canadian Junior Championship Moto cross Races in British Columbia during the Civic Holiday weekend. He will be among the more than 300 riders expected to compete in the Molson Ontario Motocross Championship races at the Walton track September 8 and 9.
