Rann and Mr. and Mrs. Ken Tyerman were in Hagersville on Sunday attending the Fiftieth Wedding Anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Alf Wilson. Mr. Wilson was a former member of the Bank of Commerce staff in Brussels. David Cossitt and Darrin Watts returned home Saturday after spending the last 2 weeks at Cooper Sports Camp in Oakville, Ontario. Mrs. Jean Taylor attended the Dane-Lewis wedding in Cambridge on Saturday. Mrs. Ida Evans is a patient The glory and pageantry of Scotland's colourful heritage will echo throughout Tor- onto's Canadian National Exhibition from August 16 to 19 with the staging of the 1979 Scottish World Festival Tattoo at Exhibition Stad- ium. Featuring the Scots Guards and the Royal High- land Fusiliers from Britain and Australia's Scots College the Tattoo is a two-and-a-half hour spectacle unmatched anywhere in the World. La Leche League of Huron County met at the home of Mrs. W. Graham in Exeter on the evening of August 8th. Mrs. J. Bisback intorduced a newly certified leader for this area, Mrs. B. Kerr of R.R.5, Brussels. Mrs. Kerr has been a member of the League for two years, preparing for leadership by meeting , certain requirements set out by La Leche League International. During this meeting, Mrs Bisback and Mrs. Kerr co-le .d the discussion. The topic of discussion was "Baby Arrives:: the Family and the Breastfeeding Baby", with the main emphasis on methods of childbirth and their effects on mothering. Interesting in Wingham and District Hospital. Mrs. Kathryn Smyth of Kitchener and her brother Douglas Leach of Ottawa called on, friends in Brussels on Tuesday of last week. A surprise party was held at Bluewater Beach, Goderich on Saturday August 4th, to honour Mr, and Mrs George McMichon, Guelph the former Dorothy Stiles on the occasion of their 25th Wedding anniversary July 31st. Attending the dinner was Miss Alice Stiles, Toronto; The '79 Tattoo, with an international cast of over 1,200 performers, also will feature bagpipe bands from. Scotland, Australia, North- ern Ireland, England and Canada, plus some of the world's finest military bands from the British Isles and the United States. Also included in the '79 Tattoo will be the grace and beauty of 80 champion High- land Dancers...the daredevil of acrobatics of the Royal. Engineers Gymnastic Team, comparisons were made, as members related their mother's birthing experience and how it may have affected their own feelings towards childbirth and raising children. It was agreed that a confident approach to labour and nursing from birth were positive influences and desirable in creating a suc- cessful mothering through breastfeeding.
