The annual Hemingway
Picnic was held in Teeswater
Lions Park on July 15 with a
good crowd and weather.
President Alan Whytock took
charge of the business after
the noon meal. He was
wearing the President's pin
which was donated by Miss
Mary Hemingway of Eng-
land and bears the Rose of
Smiles
Yorkshire. He later gave it to
David Hemingway the
incoming president. The
secretary-treasurer, Miss
Phyllis Hemingway, Galt,
read the minutes of the
previous year which were
adopted.
It was moved that a
donation be given the Lion's
Park. The picnic was invited
to Jim and. Ruth Axtmann's
for next year. Election of
officers was held.
Prizes were given out by
Mrs. Jean Beaumont to

oldest - Mrs. Edna Potruff,
Nearest birthday - Christine
Beaumont, Coming longest
distance - Mr. and Mrs.

Mr. Lavern Godkin con-
ducted races for the young
people and swimming was
enjoyed.

way relatives left for home
after a very enjoyable
reunion.
