the leading role of Elwood P.
Dowd in the comedy
"Harvey."
Mr. Porter, the great TV
face (Gidget's father, Anne
Sheridan's boss in "Private
Secretary" and starring
appearances in virtually all
the major shows) is also
home on the. Broadway
stage. He starred in "Plaza
Suite" with Maureen Staple-
ton, Other Broadway shows
include "Any Wednesday",
"Calculated Risk", "Gener-
ation", "The Best Man",
"Impossible Year", "Separ-
ate Tables" and the all star
revival of "The Front Page."

Labour Lost on Sept. 14 to

services for the evening.

With two people in town
with the exact same first and
last names it's often easy to
get them confused and that's
just what we did last week.

Fred Stephenson as the man

TREASURE ISLAND
More than 40 enthusiastic
children are taking part in a
children's workshop at the
Playhouse. The program
offers a chance for young-
sters to take classes in voice,
movement, and to experi-
ence for themselves the hard,
work that goes into produc-
ing professional theatre.
The children who come
from as far away as Goderich
will be using their new skills
when they take part in the
production of "Treasure
Island" which will be at the
Playhouse on Saturday, July
14th at 11:00 a.m. The
performance is open to -the
public.
"OUTRAGEOUS"
The supersuccessful "Out-
rageous" is the second
movie in the Playhouse
Canadian Mini Film Series
which will be shown on
Sunday July 15th at 8:00

The Playhouse production
of "Angel Street," the Vic-
torian thriller continues to
hold audiences to the edge of
their seat. The suspense
filled drama stars Irene
Mayeska and Paul Craig,
both first timers to the
Playhouse but well known to
Canadians for their perfor-
mances on TV and stage.
"Angel Street" plays nightly
at 8:30 p.m. until July 21st.
