back from Japan

Mr. Frederick M. Burg-
hardt arrived home after
spending two years in Japan.
He taught Conversational
English and Bible at Osaka
and Havajuku Tokyo. He
began the new Conver-
sational School in Tokyo.
In the fall he plans to finish
his Bachelor of Science &
Biology with a concentration
in Drug Identification at
Andrews University, at Ber-
rien Springs, Michigan.
There will be service in
Knox Church next Sunday
morning at 9:45 with Dr.
Ross K. Thomson in the
The July meeting of the
W.M.S. was held at the
home of the president, Mrs.
.Stuart Stevenson with ten
ladies present Mrs. George
Smith gave a reading
"Twelve rules for raising
youngsters," and led in
prayer. The Hymn "Can a
little child like me" was sung
' and the parable of the
prodigal sun from Luke 15 v
1-32 was read in unison.
Mrs. Smith gave a very
interesting meditation based
on it. Mrs. Stevenson
conducted the business and
minutes were read' by Mrs.
Jack Knight and Mrs. Clare
Veitch gave an encouraging
treasurer's report v Mrs.
Stanley Fischer recorded 17
cards and 5 visits since the
June meeting. The roll call
was something about Canada
or dominion. Mrs. Veitch
gave the topic from the last
chapter of the study on China
which was most interesting.

Saviour leads me" was sun
and all repeated the Mizpa
Benediction. Lunch wa
provided by Mrs. Smith an

Toronto, spent the weekend
at her home.

con. is a patient in Seaforth
Hospital.
Mr. and Mrs. Irvine Dunn
and son Ted, Medicine Hat
are visiting his brother, Earl
and Mrs. Dunn.

Sunday. From the greatest
distance, a neice, Mrs.
Margaret Barr and three
daughters Kemptville.
Mr. Adolph Petti, and
family, Thorold, spent
several days with Mr. and
Mrs. Howard Mitchell.
Visitors with Mr. and Mrs.
Jack Conley included her
sister Mrs. Grace Hudson
and neice Mrs. Jack
Middlemass, Spalding, Sask.
They also had their grand-
children Shawn and Shannon
Conley for the weekend.
Mr. Ed Giessler and
friend, Fraser,
Michigan spent a few days
here.
Mr. and Mrs. Gordon
Engel, Tracy, Paul and
Susan spent the past week
camping at Bluewater Golf
Course, Bayfield.
