JOE WALKER 357-3558, Mrs. Glenn Golley opened the June meeting of the W.M.S. of Knox Presbyterian Church reading a poem, Mrs. Keith Moffatt was hostess and 14 members and one visitor attended. Mrs. Wm. Robertson chose passages from St. Matthew and St. Luke for the devotions. Mrs. Burn Moffatt offered prayer. Mrs. Harold Grant reported on the supply fund. Mrs. Keith Moffatt gave a brief summary of the Goforth meeting in Wingham and Mrs. Harry Elliott commented cm the Presbyterial in Brussels when Mrs. Burns Moffatt was presented with an honarary life membership by her daughter, Mrs. Glenn Golley. 'Mrs. Keith Moffatt introduced the guest speaker, Miss Lavonne Ballagh of Wingham,, Miss Ballagh's theme was "Put more life into life". She said. "We should take the frills out of our lives, give more love, be ourselves, have less ego, more enthusiasm, be able to laugh. Love and laughter is a must for everyone." Miss Ballagh is a dynamic speaker with' a wonderful sense of humor, which has you laughing one moment, and with almost a tear in your eye soon after, but vividly remembering this meeting. Mary Moffatt thanked the speaker and, presented her with a gift. Lunch was served by the hostess, Mrs. Robertson and Mrs. Burns Moffatt. PERSONALS Sunday visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Alex MacTavish were Mr. and Mrs. Harold Grant, Mrs. Margaret Donahue of Teeswater, Mr. and Mrs. Stewart Walker of Toronto and Mr. and Mrs. Bob MacTavish, Timmy and Kenny. Sunday supper guests of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Walker and family were Miss Linda Harkness, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Moffatt, Mr. and Mrs. Larry Elliott, Ken Skinn, Mr. and Mrs. George Fischer and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Elliott. Mr. and Mrs. Alex MacTavish and Mrs. Jack Willitts attended the Highland Games in Port Elgin on Saturday. On Sunday morning Rev. Wilena Brown was. in charge of the speical service when Arlene Johnston, Barbara Johnston, Karen Johnston, Valerie Johnston, June Stamper and. Leonard Stamper were received as member of the church on profession of faith. The confirmation of each person, with people significant to them participating in the laying on of hands, was followed by the Commission and the right hand of fellowship being extended by Robert Fraser, clerk of session. Mrs. Keith Nicholson sang the solo, "He Walked That. Lonesome Road". She was accompanied by Mrs. Carl Johnston at the organ. The tradition of the early church was carried out when the people came forward, Installation of officers was carried out at St. John's Lodge, No, 284, AF & AM, Brussels on Tuesday night of last week when Rt.Wor. Bro. Norman Hoover and his installation team officiated. The officers installed were Worshipful Master Bro. Bruce Speiran; Immediate Post Master Bro, Murray Hoover, Sr. Warden Bro. Fred Thuell; Jr. Warden Bro. Fred Uhler; Chaplain Wor. Bro. Robt. Grasby; Sr. Deacon Bro. Leslie Knight; Jr. Deacon Wor. Bro, Wilfred Shortreed; Sr. Steward V. Wor. Bro. Visiting brethren were present from Wingham and London Lodge", The meeting was followed by lunch and a social period. Members discussed the successful completion of a charitable project carried out by all Masonic Lodges in Ontario. Each lodge exceeded its quota which has resulted in the establishment of a fund with which help may be given to, people suffering from deafness re- \ gardless of whether or not they are 'Associated with Mason ry. The fund was a means of marking the 125th anniversary of Masonry in Ontario. J.E. Supper. On June 24, Rev. Wilena Brown will conduct her last service in Bluevale before going to the Varna-Goshen pastoral charge. Mrs. Lolo Mann visited last week with Mr. and Mrs. Ken Henry and family at Parry Sound. Mrs. Alex MacTavish and Jim Wright visited Mrs. Wright in Victoria Hospital, Tuesday.
