HEAVY DAMAGES IN Sunday Fire The
McKil lop Township offices were heavily
damaged in a fire discovered Sunday morning.
Here Seaforth firemen use air paks to enter the
smoke-filled building. Arson is suspected in the
fire which destroyed many of the township
records.

*WITH: In memory of
.Joseph C. Smith who passed
away June 4, 1978.
God saw that you were
suffering,
So he did what he thought
best
He came and stood beside
you,
And whispered come and
rest.
You bade no one a last
farewell,
Nor even said good-bye,
You were gone before we
knew it,
And only God knows why.
—Ever remembered by
Laura, children and grand-
children. 25-88x1

RHEUMATOID ARTHRITIS
Althought this is one of the
most potentially serious
types of arthritis, the outlook
is now generally good for
most patients and a diagno-
sis of rheumatoid arthritis
does not automatically mean
a future of disability and
crippling.
With early diagnosis and
treatmenbt, eight out of 10
patients can expect virtually
complete control. It is extrem
ely important to take medica-
tions exactly as prescribed,
even when the patient feels
better since it is the level of
medication in the blood
which controls the disease. It
is important to maintain that
level.
The cause of rheumatoid
arthritis is not known, but
the involvement of a virus or
viruses is now suspected by
scientists. Rheumatoid arthri
tis may strike anyone, at any
time, but three times as
many women as men are
involved
Symptons include fatigue,
weight loss, morning stiff-
ness, swelling of the joints,
tingling, or numbness in the
hands or feet and a general
lack of well-being.
