Voice for Life has
annual meeting
The fifth annual dinner
meeting of the Wingham
"Voice for Life" was held
Wednesday April 25 at
Wingham Legion. The at-
tendance was beyond ex-
pectations, so that extra
tables had to be set up to
accomodate the overflow.
George Brophy was
chairman for the evening.
Rev. A. Sonderup asked
the blessing for the meal,
concluded with thanksgiving
by Rev. J. Swan, after meal.
Guest speaker Connie
Osborn, National President
for the Alliance of Life, was
introduced by Adrian Keet
who explained some ofthe
numerous functions she full-
fills.
In her address Mrs.
Osborn said this is the 1 Oti,
year since the abortion laws
were changed to "abortion on
demand" that these laws
were changed because of
subtle pressure groups
masquerading as an
enlightened. Mrs. Osborn
called the group's attention
to "The Year of the Child" to
make this a positive pro-
gram, also to the rights of the
unborn child.
Monica Jolie thanked the
speaker. Joan Van Den
Assem read the minutes of
the annual meeting of 1978.
In her annual report Sally
Campeau expressed her
optimisum by referring to the
many donation received and
the dedication of the
Wingham Pro-Life group.
Sally also outlined a list of
activities and events for the
corning year such as sales,
'walkatons, pro-life float, and
school prgrams etc. She also
asked all present to support
this work with daily prayers.

presented the annual
financial report.
Betty O'Donnell reported
on the nominating
committee. Sally Campeau
introduced the proposed
board of directors. No
nominations were forwarded
from the floor. The proposed
board was accepted by the
On Friday, April 20th we
took a trip to the circus. It
was fun,I saw elephants and
clowns. There were lots more
it scared me when a lady fell
through fire.
We saw some
people on the trapeeze.
There was a clown who was
driving a crazy car. The car
ran over him and pulled his
pants off. There were

left at nine o'clock and got
back at two o'clock. It was a
long way to Kitchener, so we
took our lunch on the bus.
Mr. R. Dunbar was a good
driver even though the bus
didn't work too well it was
fun. The grade two class
gives thanks of Mrs. S.
Devlin, our shaper. one and
Mrs. Mary Huether. It was a

charged three Brussels area
young people with mischief
for damaging gravestones in
the. Cranbrook cemetery.
Approximately $100
damage was done to the
different tombstones six of
which had been pushed over,
and three which were broken

The incident happened on
April 14 but was not reported
to the police until April 20.
