Holding the flag is Jean- Bridge, French-speaking interpreter Rene Delbergue, and Glen Bridge, as Belgian radio news editor Pierre de Vos looks on.. ON BEHALF OF THE OPTIMISTS — George Langlois (centre) past president of the Optimists presented Pierre de Vos with a , plaque with the words, "Brussels the prettiest ,villageoin Ontario," on it. Looking on is French speaking interpreter Rene Del bergue. MEETING THE CITIZENS — Pierre de Vos and his wife stopped to talk with some of the Brussels citizens at the reception on Wednesday night. Speaking with Mr. De Vos are Aletha Rann, Glenna Stevens and Marg uerite Krauter (Brussels Post Photo) A PLAQUE FROM THE VILLAGE — The village of Brussels gave Pierre de Vos a plaque from the village of Brussels for him to take back to the mayor of the city of Brussels, Belgium. Presenting the plaque was Reeve Cal Krauter and inthe middle is French-speaking interpreter Rene Delbergue of R.R.3, Auburn. (Brussels Post Photo) A TOAST TO THE QUEEN = Pierre de Vos, Jeannine de Vos and Brussels reeve Cal Krauter raised their glasses in a toast to the Queen when the village of Brussels held a reception for Mr. De Vos, his wife and Gerrard Valet on Wednesday night\ Mr. and Mrs. De Vos were here to record for a radio program to link up Brussels, Ontario with Brussels Belgium in connection with Brussels Belgium's 1000th anniversary. EXCHANGE OF VIEWS -- Brussels Public School children got to learn all about Brussels, Belgium as Pierre de Vos, news editor for .Belgian radio, told them what Brussels Belgium was like. Taking pictures of the children is the other Belgian radio reporter Gerrard Valet, TELL ME ABOUT CANADA Rene Delbergue of R.R.3, Auburn Was one person that was interviewed about living in Canada by Belgium radio reporter Gerrard Valet on Wednesday night. Rene is a former Belgian resident who can speak French Which is what Mr. Valet wanted for hit radio program.
