Norm Johnstone, Director
of Continuing Education,
said that most classes start
the weeks of April 16 and
April 23 and early regist-
ration is advised because
many classes fill early. Be-
cause the courses vary in
length and complexity, dif-
ferent documents of recog-
nition are awarded at the
end, Mr. Johnstone said.
The College will issue either
a Certificate, Transcript, Af-
firmation or Statement of
Participation on successful
completion of the course.
features remain teasingly
enigmatic. What colour were
they? Did they make croak-
ing, grunting or hissing
sounds or no sounds at all?
Were they warm or cold-
blooded? Why, after such a
successful earthly reign, did
they all become extinct?
The Dinosaur Galleries at
the ROM lure more Museum•
visitors than any other perm-
anent display. In recognition
of its cast of prehistoric
super-stars, many of them
Canadian, the Museum has
prepared an unprecedented
festival of dinosaur events.
This month, the ROM takes
, you far back in time when
the world was warm, moist
and summery everywhere
and always - where the earth
was dotted with smoking
volcanoes, and covered:with
fig and palm trees, grant
ferns and luxuriant foliage - a
world where, suddently, a
shadow is cast and, there,
towering above us, is the
King of the tyrant lizards;
Tyrannosaurus rex, the un-
disputed ruler of the Agt• of
the Reptiles.

PARASAUROLOPHUS—poses in his natural habitat in the Dinosaur
Gallery of the Royal Ontario Museum, Toronto. Only three other
skeletons of. this spectacular 25 foot plant-eating dinosaur exist in the
world, and the ROM's is the most complete. The most unusual feature of
Parasaurolophus is thp enormous crest rising from the back of its skull.
This crest May have served to increase the animal's sense of smell, or
helped it recognize a suitable mate.

THE BRUSSELS POST, MARCH 14, 1979 13
Dinosaurs are ROM,
stars this month
This March, ROM pays
homage to those monstrous
and spectacular creatures
which roamed and ruled the
earth for 135 million years -
the dinosaurs.
pinosaprs lived about 200-
65 million years ago. Their
name means "terrible liz-
ard." Man, a relative new-
comer to earth, never even
glimpsed these awesome
reptiles. The first dinosaur
remains, found in the early
19th century, fired-up our
curiosity and wonderment.
Since that. time, we have
gained a fairly clear picture
of how these prehistoric
beasts must have looked,
moved and lived. We've
unearthed their bones and
skeletons; we've found im-
pressions of their skin in
stone
Yet certain dinosaur
