HIGH JUDGE—Peter Dyk received a jacket
from Topnotch Feeds for being the high judge
in the-4-H dairy calf club. Peter was presented
with the jacket at the Brussels Agricultural
Society's annual meeting and presenting it for
Topnotch was 4-H leader John Boneschansker.
EXECUTIVE MEMBERS OF THE AGRICULTURAL SOCIETY—The
Brussels Agricultural Society elected its new executive on Tuesday at the
annUal meeting. Elected for the men's division were from left: Past
President Graeme Craig, President John Cardiff, Secretary (until a
replacement can be found) Edwin Martin, First Vice-President John
Boneschansker, Second Vice-President Jim Stephenson. The new
executive for the women's division had left the meeting by the time the

The annual meeting of the
Brussels Agricultural Society
was held in Brussels United
Church last Tuesday. The
meeting began with a ban-
quet served by the church
women.
President Graeme Craig
presided over the meeting
which had an attendance of
71 people.
It was reported that last
year's fair was successful.
Gate receipts from the fair
were $1263.25. Receipts for
1978 were $9624.21 and
Expenditures were $9236.28.
The balance on the year's
activities was $387.93.
Added to the balance on
hand December 31, 1977 this
makes $2562.85. Cheques for
$29.50 are outstanding.

Mrs. Carl Graber of Brussels
Reeve Roy Williamson of
Grey Township. Robert
Grasby of Morris Township
and Reeve Allan Campbell
of McKillop congratulated
the Society members on their
production of the 1978 fair
and promised continued
support.
Dennis Martin represent-
ing the Department of Agri-
culture, Clinton congrat-
ulated and thanked the soci-
ety for their support and
leadership with the 4-H clubs
which are sponsored by the
Society. Thc meeting ap-
proved having a Fall Fair in
1979 on Tuesday and Wed-
nesday, September 18 and
19.
The Guest speaker Richard
Lobb, Clinton auctioneer,
discussed arranging and
conducting auction sales. He
explained the problems and
costs involved. The Society is
planning to have the Walter
Ostanek Orchestra for a
dance on Friday, July 13.
Rev. Ken Innes and John
Boneschanskcr, the 4-11
leaders conducted the
presentation of awards to the
4-1-I members.
Robert Boneschansker was
presented with a trophy by
Howard Bernard for being
the high first year member in
the Brussels 4-H dairy calf
club. A jacket for high judge
in the Brussels 4-H dairy calf
club was presented by Top-
notch Feeds to Peter Dyk
with John Boneschanskcr
making the presentation.
Cathy Boneschansker won
several awards including the
trophy for the highest total
points for calf and showman-
ship combined in the Brus-
sels 4-h Dairy Calf Club.
Jerry Dillow, manager, pre-
sented the trophy for the
Royal Bank.
Cathy also had the High
Aggregate Score in the Brus-
sels 4-H dairy calf club and
was presented with the Cal
Krauter trophy by council
member Betty Graben. Cathy
also received the Bruce
McCall trophy for top show-
manship in the Brussels 4-H
beef and dairy clubs which
was presented by Mr.
McCall and a trophy from the
Canadian Imperial Bank of
Commerce for the High
Aggregate Score in the Brus-
sels 4-H dairy and beef
clubS. The trophy was away
being engraved when the
meeting was held but Bill
Beacom , manager of the
Bank of Commerce congrat-
ulated Cathy.
HIGH FIRST YEAR—Robert Boneschansker
received a trophy from Howard Bernard for
having the highest points in first year in the
Brussels 4-H dairy calf club. The trophy was
presented at the annual meeting of the Brussels
Agricultural Society last Tuesday night.
