A bad meal?
It's been a tough day for
both you and your wife.
Nchiling went right. To save
tiiw and further tension, you
de.lide to take your family out
to dinner at the local restaur-
ant. All the members at the
table prepare themselves for
the anticipated roast beef
dinner with mashed potatoes
and lots of gravy.
When the servings arrive,
the vision you had of the
coming feast is shattered. As
you take your first fork full, a
long, curly strand of hail
joins the food on your fork.
Adding to that, your wife
complains about the gravy
being cold. This has got to be
the last straw! What do you
do?
You cold ignore the hair
and finish the meal. After all,
nothing else could go wrong.
could it? You could compiain
to the waitress/waiter and
request that something be
done about it. Then make a
mental note to tell the Health
Unit. Unfortunately, not
enough people complain to
the waitress/waiter and even
fewer let the Health Unit
know about their dissatisfac-
tion.
If a meal you have ordered
does not fit your standards,
you should not have to eat it.
Tell the person serving you.
Should no satisfaction result
ask for the manager or tht
owner. A concerned owner of
an eating establishment
would be more than willing
to correct a possible error. If
the owner is not told about
the problem, other will have
to suffer. Besides, you arc
going to spend your hard--
earned money for a delicious
meal without the work and
the fuss and you deserve the
best.
If your complaint to the
manager/owner has not been
handled satisfactorily, call or
write the Health Unit. De-
pending on the seriousness
of the complaint, the public-
health inspector should be
notified whether the mana-
ger trio to help or not. If the
eating stablishment is part
of a ch, tin, write a letter to
the heau office and be sure to
note at the bottom that a
copy went to the Health Unit.
No matter how you let the
Health Unit know about your

A heifer consigned by
handling procedures during
an inspection. However, a
new inexperienced or a care-
less employee cannot always
be corrected right away. This
is one of the reasons why
you, as a customer, when not
satisfied with the food you
are paying for, should let
your feeling (dissatisfaction)
be known. After all, the
owner wants to know if
something is wrong. They
want you to come back.
