A euchre party was held in
the Ethel Community hall on
Monday evening January 22
when 13 tables were played.
Winners were: Ladies' -
high, Mrs. Charles Keeso;
Low - Jim Cooper; Gents
High - Fred Sawyer; Low -
Harvey Beirnes; Birthday
prize - Mrs. Dorthy Cox;
Lucky cup - Mrs. Adrian
Verstoef; Lucky cup - Mrs.
Lloyd Smith.
The annual congregational
meeting of the Ethel United
Church was held on
Thursday evening.
Mrs. Myrle Bowes was at
the home of her daughter
and son-in-law of
Southampton, for two weeks,
as her daughter Marilyn was
a patient in the Owen Sound
hospital.
Mr. and Mrs. Cliff Bray
visited with Mr. and Mrs.
Charles Bray of R.R.2,
Mildmay on Tuesday.

A social evening was held
in the 13elgrave Women's
Institute Hall on Saturday
evening in honour of Mr. and
Mrs. James Coultes of East
Wawanosh who have re-
cently moved to Wingham.
The evening was spent
playing progessive euchre
with 10 tables in play. The
following winners were:
High Lady - Mrs. Phil Daw-
son; Low Lady - Mrs. Jim
Taylor; High Man - Roy
Dawson; low Man - Bradley
Galbraith; Most Lone Hands
- John Gaunt.
After the euchre Edythe
and Jim were called to the
platform. Dick Moore read
the address and Ronald
Coultes presented them with
a picture and cheese board.
Jim thanked everyone and
lunch was served by the
Ladies.
