Social Conveners-Mrs. Clarence Yuill, Mrs. Robert Grasby, Program-Mrs, CHIT Logan, Group Leaders-Mrs. James R. Cou ltes, Mrs. Bert Johnston. Mrs. John McIntosh, Community Friendship-Mrs. Lewis Stonehouse, Pianist-Mrs. George Johnston. The next meeting will he held at the home of Mrs. Laura ,Johnston. Mrs. Robert Grasby led the worship service "A Wreath of Christmas." Several members took part with readings and script ure verses of the Christmas story, and placed little signs 'on a beautiful evergreen wreath. Christmas carols. were sung throughout the service.- Mrs. Ross Anderson gave a reading "Tell me of Christmas". The meeting closed with the Mizpah Benediction an0„ a social half hour. Mrs. Marilyn Craig and Mrs. Nancy Daer and their families planned a surprise retirement party at the Wingham Golf and Curling Club. Charlie has worked for the Howson and Howson Ltd, for 43 years. starting at the former flour mill in Wingham and completing his years with the present flour mill at Blyth. He has worked with five genera ti ons o f H owsons , He also worked for Treleaven's in Lucknow and Lake of the Woods in Brantford. Relatives helping him celebrate were Mrs. Marion Knox Church has Christmas concert A large crowd enjoyed the Annual Knox United Church, Sunday School Christmas concert presented in the W.I. Hall. Be!gray,: on Friday evening. December Rev. .John Roberts was I..,irman for the program hich included recitations by 'yen oo Mark 1 'Mite' P McIntosh, Chri , ' .e. Steven Taylor, Heath,' Morton, and Jennifer Procter. A variety of s ongs and skits were presented by each class, including the Beginners, Junior, Primary, Senior Primary, Junior Boys and flirts, t termediate and seniors.Sheila Anderson, 1; :yen Coultes, Ruth and Donna Higgins entertained on the piano. Bill and Muriel Coultes and family entertained with Christmas songs and everyone enjoyed a skit entitled "Income Tax Blues" No concert would be complete in Belgrave without a recitation by Clifford Coultes which was followed by Christmas carols and • songs by the school chorus. Santa Claus arrived and was a big hit with young and old alike. Ladd and family of Goderich. •Mrs, Jack Ladd of Goderich, and Wayne Ladd of New Westminister B.C. visited last Friday with Mr. and Mrs. William Gow. Mr. and Mrs. William Gow spent Christmas Day with Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Brindley and family of Dungannon. This community extends r. mpathy to Mrs. Harry McGuire and her family in the passing of her husband Harry McGtiire. Mr. and Mrs. John Evans Of Sarnia visited with Miss Nora Van Camp of Brookhaven Nursing Horrid on Saturday. Floward Roberts, and his friend Wong Hong He of Singapore who are attending McMaster University, Hamilton returned to the University on Tuesday after spending the Christmas holidays with Rev. John and Mrs. Roberts and Alison. Mr. and Mrs. William Stevenson and Lissa spent the Christmas holidays with her parents Mr. and Mrs.. Leigh Wilcox of Lakeland, Florida. Steven and Scott Stevenson spent the holidays with Mr. and Mrs. David Miller of Whitechurch. Mr. and. Mrs. Gordon Campbell and Heather of Kitchener visited on Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. John Campbell. Mr. and Mrs. George Johnston, Tara and Erin of Ilderton, Ross Yuill and Beth Bunker, Cameron Yuill of Elmira, Mrs. Helen McBurney of Wingham, and Mrs. Laura Johnston were New Year's visitors on Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Yuill. Mr. and Mrs. Don Campbell and Lisa of London, Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Campbell, Steven and Geoffrey of London visited during the Christmas holidays with their mother Mrs. Olive Campbell also with other relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Van Camp and family spent Christmas week with her parents Mr. and Mrs. Louis Hayes of Elyria, Ohio. During that week. Mr. and Mrs. Hayes celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.
