FRED BOWDEN CENTRALIA Christmas services in the United Church, Sunday were well attended with Mr. Paul Schott in charge. At the morning service the choir of 22 voices under the leadership of Douglas Gill presented the Cantata "Following Yonder Star”. The Scripture readings in the Cantata were taken by Norman and Don Wilson. The presentation provided a real treat for music lovers and drew many favourable comments. At the combined service Sunday evening Mr. Schott was assisted with Scripture readings of the Christmas story by Mrs. Ken Greb, Alan Rowe, Mrs. Harvey Smith, Sam Skinner, Mrs. Lome Hicks, Craig and Carolyn Schott. Playing the part of Mary and Joseph were Christine Shoebottom and Chris Schott. The readings were interspersed with the singing of Christmas Carols with organ and piano ac­ companiment by Mr. Gill and Penny Smith. The Christmas decorations made a colourful and at­ tractive setting for the services.
