PETER MARTIN The Beginners Class did an “None to Lowly” and sang “Silent Night.” The junior girls formed an orchestra and played, “Little Drummer Boy.” White gift offering was presented by each class. The Testament and Learners class presented an exercise entitled “Trimming crediton '" exercise called Between 50 and 60 people g from the Sharon School area met at the Crediton Hall Friday to present a farewell gift to Mr. and Mrs. Cliff Brock, who have moved to Exeter. Wedding gifts wete presented to Mr. and Mrs. Hy Thompson, nee Debbie Riddell, Mr. and Mrs. Don Noates, nee Olga Zemetis and Mr. and Mrs. Doug Ford. Progressive euchre was enjoyed by all. Deliver Treats The Crediton and District Social Club have been delivering treats to senior citizens from this area. Visits were made to Craig Home, Bluewater Rest Home, Hensail nursing home, and Huronview. Seniors in Crediton and Mount Carmel were also called on. Presenting the treats were; Jack Jesney, Cliff Kenney, Wilmar Wein, Ken Glavin, Harvey Hodgins and Glen Hodgins. Church Concert United Church School held their Christmas Concert evening. Harry welcomed The Tree of Life.” and sang “0 Little Town of Bethlehem.” Steven Lightfoot played “Jingle Bells” and “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star” on his guitar. The junior and junior high class presented a play en­ titled “Jesus, the Light of the World.” Presents Zion Sunday annual Sunday Schroeder everyone and chaired the program. The adult class read the scripture Jackie Pierce read her poem, “The reason for the Manger”. The kin­ dergarten class presented, “The Stable Scene” and sang “Away in-a Manger”. Julie Hendrick played two lovely pieces on the piano. Cathy Hendrick and Colleen Hamilton recited, “God Loves Us,” and “I’d Like To Make a Pretty Card.” and candy were FORE — Gib Dow had trouble seeing the road for the tree in the Santa Claus parade entry from Ironwood Golf Course. However, he putted along the parade route without any dif­ ficulty, with on lookers being of the opinion his entry was above par. ’ T-A photo then distributed to the childrep. School Play The kindergarten to grade four students played to a packed house, when they presented their Christmas play, “Christmas Dreams.” Thursday night at Stephen Central. Todd Witherspoon, Julie Hendrick, Heather Browning, Micheal Fink- beiner, Micheal Lightfoot, Jerry Lamport, Leslie MacDonald, Bill Payne, Lisa Martin, Roy Hoover, and Jeff Gibson were some of the main actors from this area. It was a very enjoyable evening for everyone. Personals Rev. Bruce Pierce an­ nounced Sunday that he has accepted a call for Cour­ tright. They will be leaving us between Christmas and New Years.
