took charge and dominated
the rest of the game.
Brett Fairweather and
Martin Wraith scored
shorthanded goals while
Pete Martens was in the sin
bin. Wraith then came back
with his second goal of the
game on a powerplay to
finish off the scoring. Brad
Taylor, Martin Wraith and
Don Lankin were the three
stars of the gasme.
The Greens one week rest
also proved fatal. Mike
Wraith opened the scoring
for the Yellows but Gord
Moon came back with a
short-handed goal for the
Greens to tie the score at one
apiece.
From a face-off deep in the
Green’s end, Wraith drew
the puck back to Gary
Revington who fired a shot
passed goalie Phil Lousden.
The Yellows enjoyed this
lead until the 15 minute mark
of the third period when Bill
Haskett’s shot trickled
through Yellow’s substitute
goalie, Keith Ewer’s pads,
and across the goal line.
Thirty seconds later
Darling broke in alone and
deked the Green’s goalie to
put in the winning goal. Mike
Wraith, John Garrison and
Bill Darling were the games
three stars.
