Pick a tractor from 8 to 19.9 horsepower. Then team it with a snow thrower, 32 to 46 inches wide. All throwers have a 12-inch auger, And a reversible cutting edge for extra wear. The swivel discharge chute lets you control direction of throw from the driver’s t at. Lawn Tractor with Snow Thrower Tuckersmith reeve won't seek Huron wardenship post in '79 Tuckersmith reeve, Ervin Sillery told the press last Tuesday night at the township’s regular meeting that he won’t be seeking the warden’s chair. Earlier this month reeve Sillery had indicated he might be letting his name stand as he had been asked to run. Election for the Warden’s position takes place in Goderich, December 12. Council refused a request from Jacob Thalen to rent the road allowance in Vanastra to the end of Fifth Avenue (closed over two years ago by council) to park trailers he hopes to sell along with his furniture business. The Ministry of Com munications and Tran sportation notified council that the original main gate to the former Canadian Forces base (now Vanastra) was not on the roadway owned by the province but was located on township property. The stone gate posts are located on private properties clerk Jack McLachlan stated. The entranceway has been closed for a number of years due to the increased traffic on Number 4 high way since the war years. ’ The Ministry was replying to councils letter asking who was responsible for the upkeep of the stone pillars, now showing signs of deterioration. Mrs. Edith Baker had expressed her concern to council some time ago on behalf of a group interested in preserving the gateway - the Huron Historical Society and some interested persons. Councillor Frank Falconer expressed a lack of interest in preserving the stone pillars or the iron gate. Reeve Ervin Sillery showed more concern and requested Clerk McLachlan to suggest to Mrs. Baker she work with the owners of the land on which the pillars are located. The clerk reported that to date the 3,189 residents in the township had purchased 111 building permits this year for $1,692,000. Council awarded the tender for repairs to the O’Brien drainage works to Gohcpn Ltd. of Dundalk. The tender amounting to $3,561.60, the lowest of five submitted. Work will start this week according to Goh- cons’ tender, the lowest of five submitted. No appeals were heard on the report of the drain at the court of revision and a by law was passed accepting the engineers’ report. Clifford Henderson’s request for a permit was granted to move a house (his childhood home) from Hullett Township to his property in Tuckersmith, the north half of lot 35, con cession 1. Approval was given for a drainage loan for $11,000. HEARING TESTS No Obligation EXETER PHARMACY Thurs., Dec. 7 — 1 to 3 p.m. Batteries, accessories, repairs to most makes , J. D.
